Peugeot first appeared in Australia during the early 1900s with official documentation confirming formal distributor agreements in the early 1920s. But 1949 was the year the brand was first represented nationally, and have had a continuous presence in the country since.
In January of 1954 the Ha Dong-hwan Motor Workshop was established, the beginnings of the company we know as Ssangyong today. By 1967 the company became Korea's largest exporter of buses to Vietnam. By 1974 it had co-established Shinjin jeep Motor Co, Ltd and October of that year it began developing hard and soft-top jeeps.

Once again Peugeot has demonstrated its commitment to design and innovation by submitting the stunning new RCZ 2+2 Coupe and 3008 SUV for scrutiny at the Australian International Design Awards.
